Augmented Reality in Schools

According to the Horizons report, Augmented Reality is set to have a great impact on education in the next 5-10 years.  What is augmented reality (AR)?  Augmented reality is taking the real world and superimposing a virtual image on top of it to bend your perception of reality.  See the TED talk below about how Augmented Reality is being used today.

Augmented Reality Resources
The 2013 Horizon Project lists Augmented Reality as one of the new and upcoming technologies that will impact education in the next 3-5 years.  With the emergence of tablets and smartphones into the classroom, augmented reality can become a reality in your classroom.  If you have a tablet or smartphone, you have to check these out!  Most will work on both Android and iOS platforms.
